My apologies for the lack of updating recently: the reason is that I'm about to move to my new website, which will be up by March 1. Love London will feed into that site once it's up. Thanks for your patience.

Yup, the Chinese Lunar New Year (of the Monkey) swings into town on February 8, but the main action takes place in London on Sunday 14 in Trafalgar Square. Time Out does a good guide - but try and see the Lion Dances snapping down red packets of dosh in Chinatown in the morning.
A new way to see the Easter Passion
This sounds amazing: the Stations of the Cross interpreted by artists for a multi-faith audience in a trail around Central London. Dowload the app or see the Coexist House (great idea, btw) for more details.
Ooh, ooh, ooh the funky zipwires
Go Ape! has opened their first London site in Battesea Park, SW11. Not cheap (£33 adults, £18-25 kids) but it's really good fun and takes about two hours. There's a free park playground underneath for smaller children, a pizzeria and a Crazy Golf course.
Art on The Line
The Line, a new East End sculpture trail running from the 02 to just south of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and featuring 11 artworks – with more to follow – is opened last year. Download a map from the website - and here's a short Telegraph feature by moi.

“To say that the group enjoyed your tour would be an under-statement. It certainly was one of the highlights of the trip for me. I truly cannot thank you enough.”
Tim M, New York, Nov 2011
“We asked Sophie to take us on a ten-mile London hike. We wove through Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Marylebone, Regent's Park, Parliament Hill and Highgate. I was so engrossed I didn't notice the sunburn and blisters!”
Julia, Kensington and Tish, South of France, May 2012
“Sophie got us to our destinations on the Underground while the London Marathon was in full session. Her knowledge of historical locations in the city was well beyond our expectations. The tour was a great experience, to say the least".

“Thank you for the great walk through East London last Saturday: as with the hens’ walk you did for us, we found it hugely entertaining. There were excellent facts, 'insider stories' and ventures into back streets which, when living in East London, I didn't think to bother with!”
Nadia Y, North London, September 2013
“Sophie was an excellent guide: wonderfully well informed and very personable. We had a fascinating morning exploring the evolving King's Cross area. Sophie was very generous with her time: we got an extra 45 minutes’ worth of tour because nobody could tear themselves away!”
Kay and Will G, Chalk Farm, London, October 2013
“Many thanks for a brilliant morning. I really enjoyed all the information you gave us, which you made sound like a good piece of gossip! It was all very informative and entertaining. I look forward to further walks with you (with hopefully better weather!)”
Christine B, UK, October 2013
“We have such fond and happy memories of the time we spent with you in London. You were a wonderful tour guide and we thank you for providing us with such a memorable experience! Upon our arrival home, we promptly purchased your book and can't wait to start reading it!”
Hermann Family, New York, USA, August 2013
“The whole family really did enjoy your guided tour and were amazed by some of the streets we explored and also the mass of information and parts of the parks visited about which we knew little to nothing”.
Judith and Gordon R, West London (June 2013)
“Our tour leader [was] the frighteningly knowledgeable and terribly English Sophie Campbell, a journalist-turned-Blue Badge tour guide.”
Keith Austin, Sydney Morning Herald, Aug 2011
“Thank you so much for the lovely day. It's funny hearing what the girls tell their parents about this special day. Very impressive for them was Kensington Palace with all the court stories. The most favoured place was the Victoria and Albert Museum”.
Kathrin M, Zurich, Switzerland, September 2013
“Fabulous tour guide. Kept two adults and two teenagers fascinated and engaged for three days. Saw places in London we had never seen nor heard of. Get on her list ASAP!”
Paul W, Lubbock, Texas, June 2011
“It was wonderful to spend the day with someone who is knowledgeable and able to explain in depth and breadth the areas I was interested in. Sophie is passionate about London and its history…all day she kept the interest going and never did I feel it was just a job”.
Liz P, Sydney, Australia, September 2013

Annie M, Wimbledon, Aug 2011
“Sophie tailored our tour to our specific interests (shopping!) and we had a delightful three and a half hours not only sightseeing but learning about past history and the development of London. As well Sophie gave us a lot of information and tips for the rest of our holiday which really made the rest of our week fabulous”’.
Eveline and Kylie B, Western Canada, August 2013
“I can’t emphasise how much I enjoyed the tour of the National Gallery... I found myself gripped by the paintings, and your commentary was delivered with great energy and verve.”
